Frequently Asked Questions

Where in Melbourne do you service?

We currently service the following Local Government Areas (LGAs):
The city of Yarra, Stonnington and Boroondara.

Do I need a referral from my doctor?

No, you don’t need a referral to see a physiotherapist. We would recommend having your medical history and medication list ready so that we can ensure a holistic assessment is completed during your initial consultation.

Do I need to provide my own equipment?

No, our physiotherapists will have all the equipment you will need for your session. If your therapist feels that you would benefit from some exercise equipment, this will be discussed with you (and your case manager if you are receiving a Home Care Package).

How long do the sessions go for?

Our initial consultation goes for 45 minutes, in which we will obtain a thorough history and complete a collaborative assessment and goal planning with you.

Subsequent consultations are either 30 minutes (standard) or 45 minutes (extended).

Can I claim my sessions through my Private Health Fund?

This depends on your Health Fund and the type of cover you have. Please contact your Health Fund and enquire what rebates you have for physiotherapy.

We will request full payment on the day of your consultation, and provide you with an invoice to be able to submit a manual claim through your Health Fund.

Do you see clients in Residential Aged Care facilities or only in the home?

We are more than happy to come out to Residential Aged Care facilities within our service areas and treat clients there. We are also happy to liaise with your Home Care Package provider and become registered with them to be your physiotherapist.

Do you charge for travel?

Yes, we do have a travel fee to cover the cost of visiting you at home. The fee varies depending on your distance from our base location. We'll provide you with a clear breakdown of any travel charges before your appointment, so there are no surprises.
